Our rescue Malinois continue to show they *can* do anything and everything their adoptive homes make up their minds to pursue.
Asha
Asha was presented on the rescue site in August of 2002
and described by her foster family as:
Asha is a wonderful, beautiful, small girl! 15 months old and 44 pounds Asha is very sweet tempered and always ready for attention. She is very petite in stature - but don't let this fool you - she is full of energy and enthusiasm!! Ahsa loves to play ball and to swim. She is somewhat on the submissive side towards people. She settles well in the house and will curl up on the couch with her foster mom with her head in her mom's lap! She has not been raised around children and would probably do better in a houshold with older children. Asha would excel in agility but also would do well as a family companion. She will need daily exercise because she is still a puppy! Asha is somewhat dominant with other dogs and would do best as the only female dog in a household. She is great with all of her foster brothers though!

Presenting UAGI UAGII Asha's Five Times Gamble (Asha)
Update: Asha is now, UACH UAGII UAGI Asha's Five Times Gamble
Asha has competed 2 times each in AKC NJWW and AKC Novice Standard Agility. In all four runs she has taken 1st places! She is well on her way to earning her AKC agility titles. She just continues to get better and better!
We adopted Asha, our first Mal ever, in August of
2002. Asha had been abused in her previous training work
and when we got her she was very afraid of men. With a lot
of training and help of other members of our dog
training club, Asha learned to totally trust people
again. Now she has to greet everyone at her training
sessions-dogs and humans alike! She was very quick to
pick up agility and is doing very well. She has
earned her first two United Kennel Club titles and is
a couple of points from becoming an agility champion.
Soon she will be working on earning her agility titles
from the American Kennel Club.
Asha has been an absolutely wonderful dog. She stares
at us daily with a look of devotion in her eyes. She
has convinced us that Malinois are the only breed for
us! What a worthwhile endeavor to adopt one of these dogs!
