I met Julie Bear, and her Mal Jackson, by doing her hair. She told me about ABMC Rescue and how she got Jackson and the wonderful things she was doing with him as far as TDI and CGC. So I ask her if she thought I would be a good candidate for this. Julie told me about the Malinois temperament and their wild kind of ways, but I've always been one to go for things I believe in. There was a dog in Maine named Jason that I was considering, but that didn't work out, I was heart broken.

Julie and I talked about how when the right dog came along I would know it. Then the call came, there was a dog in Tennessee, surrendered to a kill shelter and rescued off the table by a Police officer that knew the breed and made a call to Rescue. Once bailed out he was sent for fostering to Carol Stein in Ohio and became known as Jigger. Julie called me, and Carol and I met in Pittsburgh. She said he had allergies because he was losing some hair and scratching so I took him to the Vet lo and behold he had mange, so I couldn't bring my new baby home for another four weeks. Finally he came home and a week later he was hit by a car, he did not know any obedience training at all, so when my husband told him to down, he didn't have a clue.!!!!!!!!! That is when he crossed the road and the car was there, he was hit and bleeding when I found him on my way home from work. I saw this dog running along the side of the road and I thought that somebody in the development had gotten a dog like mine, the closer I got I began to realize it was Jazz. So off we went to the Vets and they fixed Jazz up and from that time on we started training.

We began with Julie and basic obedience, from there we progressed to dog school for advance obedience, and we went for our CGC and TDI tests and we are PROUD to say as of August 26 we are certified.
