Simon's Surgery was successful and he has found a Great New Home!
|
Visit the blog to read all about Simon's Surgery/Recovery and New Home.
|
|
Without a string of people, across many states, Simon's stay in Rescue might have had a very different resolution. Instead, Simon is going into the future and his new home in considerably better health then when he entered rescue. Simon might have spent many, many more months waiting for his new home. Simon, his foster home and ABMC Rescue can't express enough how much having such caring and concerned supporters have meant to his rescue experience.
Simon High Fives Go To: Elizabeth Reynolds, Bobbie Arellano & Angela McCalla, Renee Clegg, Patricia Winter, Cheryl Lee, Lannon's Animal Hospital, Abfall Veterinary Clinic (The Plains, Ohio), Chet & Kelly Backus, Marian & Warren Lewis, Tracy Gibliant, Joe & Vickie Mediate, Lin Karrels, Laurette Wharton, Beverly Enold, Clare & Edward Ramsey, Beth & Darren Eggleston, Gillian Hatch Carlsen, Cliff Middlebrook in Memory of Bridget & Joshua Cease

Simon with the great out look and wonderful temperament
Have you ever met one of those dogs that just makes himself at home and fits right in? Simon has proved to be one of those rare dogs.
We first found out about Simon when Judy Johnstone posted Belg-l looking for someone in Malinois Rescue to contact her regarding a malinois that was in a shelter in Elizabeth City, NC.
Elizabeth Reynolds, who is with Rotie rescue, had seen Simon (then known as Falco) at the shelter and had contacted Judy. She said he was such a sweet boy and was very outgoing. So we decided to pull him and so began his journey into rescue.
Lin Karrels started posting for transport to get him moved to Cheryl and Jack Lee. There were several people that helped in transporting him to his foster home as well as overnighting him. Again all thought he was wonderful!
Elizabeth who thought he was the sweetest boy started the transport, Angela and Bobby McCalla overnighted him and transported him to Josh and Bridget Cease who also overnighted him. Renee Clegg and Patrica Winter finished the transport to get him to his foster home.
Everyone fell in love with him, easy to do because he is one of those dogs. What makes him so special is how he was able to maintain such a great out look and wonderful temperament. Several years ago his leg had been dislocated at the elbow and left that way. Can you imagine the pain he must have been in having lived this way? We are trying to save his leg and give him back a chance at a wonderful life. The operation is quite costly and we are asking for donations to help cover the expenses. He is really worth the time and expense to have a great life free of pain.
Use this form to contribute toward Simon's surgery .
