Gator is just 1 years old and ready for adoption! He is currently located in Pennsylvania.

He is extremely sweet and absolutely loves people.

The shelter said he had been found as a stray and he had no manners when he came into rescue. But his foster home has worked with him and have made much progress with him as he is a very smart boy, learns quickly, and has a desire to please!

He is house trained and crate trained. He is very respectful about not getting on furniture, although sometimes the temptation is too much with the kitchen counter!

He is good and relaxed in his crate at night and when no one is home.

He is very easy to teach and is a sensitive boy. He does have typical puppy energy and sometimes does not know his strength. He currently is challenging on the leash as he pulls.

He may be interested in agility, scent work, or other sport, but so far he is very excited and distracted outside due to his age and limited time in his foster home.

Gator has not been taken in the car often, but did well with being calm, he just would prefer to be in your lap! A crate in the car would be best.

Gator is still underweight from being a stray, but he eats well and is polite about his food. He has not shown any resource guarding with humans or other dogs.

He gets along well with other dogs of a similar size. He has not been tested with children and small dogs. He has prey drive and will occasionally nip when he is excited, so small children would not be ideal. He would likely enjoy a home with teenagers and adults.

Gator is an extremely loving dog and has shown his foster family how much he appreciates living in a home! He would love to find a home with people who enjoy an affectionate dog and have time to spend with him.
