Hi! My name is Skeeter, I am 17 months old and I am searching for my forever home!

My foster mom and dad tell me that I am very sweet and a lot of fun with a total joy for life. Everything is new to me as I never lived in a house before coming to stay with them. I grew up in a pasture with my littermates for 15 months and never wore a collar or leash and didn't even have a name! I never had toys so it took me a while to learn what they were but now, I love to play fetch and enjoy tugging. I still get a little rambunctious when grabbing for toys so I will not go to a home with small children.

My foster parents have been teaching me important life skills like crate training and housetraining. I am a quick study and am really getting the hang of the housetraining. As long as my routine is followed I am very reliable. When I first started my crate training I was very anxious and attempted to and successfully escaped several times. I have since learned that it isn't such a bad place at all as it is where I eat all of my delicious meals. Food was not plentiful when I was living in a pasture so I am really appreciative of the wonderful food and treats that I get now.

When I get very excited, I sometimes forget my manners and jump on people. I can get up on counters when I am curious about what might be up there. My foster mom continues to work with me on these things. My foster parents tell me that I am very smart and an amazing problem solver. I am also very food motivated so I enjoy training.

On a Malinois scale of 1 - 10, I have an energy level of a 6 or 7 so long as I get some physical and mental activity, I am easy to live with. I am very athletic and can jump very high! I love hiking and would make someone a great running partner. But more than anything, I love being with my people and am happy to sit and chew on a bone while watching a movie or reading a book.
