Hi! My name is Phoenix and I am a 4 month old Malinois puppy currently located in Pennsylvania.

I am very intelligent and learn things very quickly.  I ride well in the car and go with mom to work every day. My foster mom says that I am a sassy, confident girl that takes her ‘job’ of protecting her family seriously. I get to meet all kinds of people where my foster mom works and I check them all out to make sure they are not a threat. Once they pass inspection, I will happily take treats from them – it is important to be a good hostess and show my appreciation for their ‘gifts’ of food.  I successfully protected the family from the monstrous tree that was found in the house.  The tree now knows it’s place and will not be stirring up any trouble.

I love toys and have a ‘few’ that I like to sleep with (see video).  I also love to play tug!  When not protecting the family or playing with my toys, I love to snuggle with my foster family while playing video games or watching TV.

I am told that I have loads of personality! I have a flair for fashion and can pull off a number of ‘looks’ with hats and bandanas.  I also like to ‘nurse’ my blanket and stuffed toys.  It makes me feel secure. I am a cuddle bug and frequently fall asleep in my foster mom’s lap

I was born with a cleft lip but it is just cosmetic and does not cause any issues.  My foster mom tells me that it is cute the way my tongue sticks out of my little opening and gives me lots of character.  I do get a little upset when people talk about my cleft lip and will sometimes bark at them when they do to let them know that it is not polite.

I am told that I am precocious and will need someone to spend time training me.  I would be an awesome prospect for a sport.  I love to use my nose so I bet I would excel at tracking or nose work.  I haven’t been swimming but I have heard that dock diving is a lot of fun.  In any case, I would like to find a home where I will be able to have some sort of outlet or My AWESOME Malinois-ness.
