Legend  in Florida

2.5 Year Old Male

$ 350.00

Hi there. I’m Legend, and my sweet demeanor is what I’m famous for. I’m 2.5 and located in Georgia. Some people say I didn’t have what it takes to be a K9 officer. But the truth is I’d rather take down a ball than a bad guy any day—any minute really. I’m a true love bug, so much so, that I get over the top with affection and have to be reminder to call down. I didn’t get much attention as a young pup and as a result I’m a little mouthy and nippy. I need someone to tell me “Ouch” when it’s just too hard.

I’ve got plenty of smarts. They say I know sit, stay, lay down and heel, but I have lots more to learn. Just ‘cause I know those things doesn’t mean I’ll do them. I love a good challenge and to pretend I don’t know stuff. BOL. I love to learn and I’m a quick study too. My foster is teaching me house manners and working on my housebreaking. I’ve never been inside before! I’m crate trained, in fact, I think it’s pretty cool in there. Everyone says I’m doing pretty good on my housebreaking. They call me high-drive when it comes to toys, but whatever, food works too. The vet says I have very minor hip dysplasia in one hip, but that doesn’t stop me from chasing the ball. I still want to work, track, or do a sport. I have what they call true working potential.

I’m 50 pounds of loving: I love tuna; I love Kongs; And did I mention balls? I love to play but I’m selective. I don’t care of other male dogs. I prefer my women more dominant…canine females that is. I haven’t had much exposure to smaller dogs but have ignored the few that I have met. Cats? Well, I meet a few in my temp foster home and that looked very yummy and scary at the same time.

I’m looking for a single person, couple or family with older teenage children who needs a daily dose of my legendary sweetness and has the time to build on my training and help me keep developing. And if they have a ball or two, even better. I’m so obsessed with the ball that there are some careful instructions to follow with me at first. My second favorite toy is a water bowl and I just can’t bring myself to leave it alone. I love nothing better than to pick it up, carry it all over, and then give it a good thrashing.

I need someone who will give me firm boundaries and structure. I thrive on routine. I also need someone who isn’t going to let me intimidate them. With the proper guidance I think you will find that I will fall right into line. I will need several weeks of slow integration to a new household and time to decompress.

I was being trained as a K-9 potential in the past and spend most of my day in a kennel run. I’m a little over the top when let out of the kennel. I tend to get over rambunctious because of this and it will take me time to learn to settle in with my new household. I’m not use to spending much time indoors but my fosters have been working with me on this big time.

I’m UTD on distemper, parvo and rabies vaccines. Also neutered and microchipped.
