Rokki turned 4 years old on April 9, 2020

 

Suspicious of new people and needs time to accept men. Almost instantly loves women and will bond strong with his new mommy first. (We assume he hasn't been handled fairly/loving by men in the past.)

 

No kids under 12 or cats.

 

 

Likes: playing fetch, bellyrubs, cuddling, playing with female dogs his size (girl mal pal would be great)

 

Knows: sit, down, shake, kennel (goes in crate), go for ride (loads and unloads easily in car), walks on leash with training collar

 

Needs practice on 'out' - he will trade for something else, and waiting at doors as he gets excited and wants to race to car first, can counter surf if food or snacks left unsupervised

 

 

Rokki needs an experienced handler. He will do best with consistency, clear boundaries and fair training.

Very housebroken, no accidents. He is not destructive in our house when left alone but from time to time he will carry the couch pillows or take the blankets and move things around (he wants attention). He is not crated much now but when we first got him we did use a crate. (He sleeps at the foot of our bed) Medium drive. He loves chuck-it, kong wubbas are his favorite and he will chew nylabones peacefully. Now I limit his time with hard chews as we observed he is wearing his canine teeth down. He is smart and loves to please. Extremely food motivated and very trainable. He loves walks and playing in his fenced yard with his sister. Not shown to be a fence jumper. Could be a sport prospect for dock diving or barn hunt (could use an increase in activity as he is a little pudgey). Pretty much anything you want to do he wants to go with you. He just wants to be with his people. If he gets plenty of exercise/stimulation meaning ball throwing, walking, car rides, he settles nicely.
