Welcome back Teddy!
Teddy was returned to ABMR and is again looking for his forever home. He is a 3-yr old neutered male Malinois. While he had picked up a few bad habits in his former adoptive home, he is working with his new foster/trainer and very quickly remembering his manners and is actually a pretty social guy!
Teddy bonds quickly to his person, and while he is good with others with proper introductions, he is also protective with a big bark! He currently is very good with the 7-yr old in the home. He is housebroken and settles very nice in the home after a walk or training session. He is very good in the house and does not counter surf or get into the trash!!! He has basic obedience down and wants to please! He wants to be with his people and has a very good recall. Teddy would be a great companion dog to someone with no other pets, or maybe an easy going, similar-sized female with proper, controlled introductions. He rides great in a car and loves to go anywhere you do! He is confident and environmentally sound, neutral to gunfire and thunderstorms! He does not have much toy drive, but will do just about anything for a doggie cookie!
Teddy does have a lot of barrier frustration, which can be managed. He also has high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. Teddy needs an experienced, committed owner who will continue to provide him with fair, consistent boundaries and expectations.
Teddy come with free training for local adopters (near Detroit).
