Located in Central Mississippi.

Ava is ready to find a forever home of her own! Finally free of heart worms the all clear has been given. Not much was known about Ava before she was brought into the rescue. She was found as a stray and her owner never showed. Sent to Mississippi for heart worm treatment she has been living a contained life for the last few months while going through the process. Thankfully Ava made it through with flying colors.

A few observations of Ava is at first glance, she’s a big girl weighing in a 75 pounds. Secondly, her teeth have suffered much breakage. Likely due to her joy in destroying toys and such! Originally thought to be 8 because of the shape of her teeth, upon closer examination the vet estimates it to be more like 3-4 years old.

Ava is a very friendly dog to people. She does want to jump and hug people she meets.

She does not like other dogs at all and will quickly bite them if able.
Her prey drive is very high and small animals are at risk around her.

Ava is very fond of her food and will try to engulf it in few bites if you near her dish while eating. Ava seem to have had any training so doesn’t know any commands and doesn’t walk well on a leash. She will need an experienced Malinois owner and obedience training will be a great benefit. Ava gets very nervous in car rides and pants and drools quite a bit. She does very well in a 5x5 kennel. She hasn’t had any accidents while in the kennel and when she needs to use the bathroom she barks to be let out. Afterwards, she rushes back to her kennel to enjoy a treat and rest.

Won’t you be the next step in her life showing her all the wonders of being a family member and help her leave her past behind her?!
