“Am I your one and only?”

Karma is a beautiful, petite (48 lbs), 3 year old spayed female, who is healthy, heartworm negative and up to date on her vaccines. She is high on energy and prey drive, but invite her into your lap, and she hits her “off” button, happily cuddling for hours. She is a perfect companion Malinois in every way. The catch? She needs to be the only dog in the household. 

Karma has lived with other dogs, but displays strong alpha characteristics, and does initiate fights when overly excited. She has also lived with cats, but can be snappy with them, so a cat household is not recommended, nor a home with horses or other livestock, due to her high prey drive. 

Although she initially showed fear aggression when first meeting new people in the past, Karma has become much more comfortable being around humans, although careful introductions are still necessary. She prefers women to men. She warms up quickly when interacting with calm and confident people, and is incredibly affectionate with those she trusts, to the point that she thinks that she’s a lapdog. She has learned that little people (kids) are OK, but slow introductions with positive reinforcement are a must, for she still startles easily. Karma is non-destructive in the home and car, has learned to crate well, walks politely on a prong or gentle leader, and knows basic commands, although recall can still be spotty. She has strong ball drive and loves to play. She allows her nails to be trimmed with clippers, although she is terrified of a Dremel. 

Karma will need an experienced, confident, kind and fair adopter who will continue to socialize her and provide her with a structured, active life. This little girl has has lots of potential for nose work, agility, or simply as a devoted companion to someone who enjoys running, hiking, or other outdoor activities. She is a total love bug with her human, and someone is going to be very fortunate to have the trust, devotion and companionship of this beautiful little Malinois.
