Lucy was originally surrendered to ABMR as a 5 month puppy and now finds herself back in Rescue needing a new forever home.  She was initially very shy and submission, but has increased her confidence level over the last 2 years.  Lucy is not good with the cats in the home and has had a few  She is very active but has a nice off-switch in the home. 

Lucy has been having some issues with the other female dog in the household, this dog obtained after Lucy had been in the home for a while.   Much of this is felt to be handler error, and in the right home, with an male dog with a similar energy level (high!), Lucy would probably do fine with another dog. She loves to play and play hard. No cats or small dogs.

Lucy has had professional training and knows a lot of commands.  She is friendly with others and seems to enjoy children (over 7).

Lucy is very athletic and seems to have good ball/play drive and loves food!!  She loves going out in the car and is well-behaved in public and also walks well on a leash.  She does not like to potty on-lead so a fenced in yard is needed for her. She is crate trained and house trained. 

Lucy is sweet and loves her people and wants to be with them.

Lucy’s best home would be a calmer family that can spend a lot of time with her and continue her training and provide clear, consistent boundaries for her.  She would thrive as a running/hiking partner and maybe even hobby performance with some work on her focus.  She is very athletic as well as strong. 

Lucy is currently in Pennsylvania but transportation assistance is available within reason.
