New Year, new you, and new pup? Affectionate and sweet, Maggie May is seeking a new start and you may be her perfect person.

Maggie May has been through a lot in her 7 or so years on this planet. She was found running loose, and entered rescue about 2 years ago. She has had some health issues that prevented her from being adopted right away. Now those are resolved – Maggie is cancer free! – and ready to begin the rest of her life in a forever home.

Maggie May is a people pleaser of a malinois – loves being petted, brushed, and snuggled. Her foster mama describes her as mellow, and for a malinois, that’s quite a feat! She is housebroken, spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and heartworm/parasite free. She is food motivated, is a bit of a chew-a-holic with her nylabones and meaty bones, and loves her people.

She was diagnosed with mammary cancer and has had two surgeries to remove the tumor and achieve clear margins. She is cancer free now, and will need on going checkups going forward. An older gal, Mags has had some (blush blush) urinary incontinence. She is doing well on proin and this should also be monitored.

Along with some comfy beds and easy living, Maggie May would do best without the stress and bother of other dogs or small pets. Same goes for young children. She prefers to be the center of attention and have her people all to herself. And at this point in her life, she deserves some sweet spoiling!
