Xena - 2-3 year old spayed female

Lovingly referred to as “little Z” by her foster family, Xena is an approximately 2-3 year old pocket Mal. She has not met a stranger and eagerly greets each new person she meets with tail wags and kisses. She came into the rescue extremely malnourished with two spots of hair missing on her back due to stress and poor nutrition (According to the vet). She is now putting on some much needed weight and her hair has grown back in now that she’s getting all of her meals and living a stress-free life!
She is house trained and crate trained and following a good amount of exercise, spends about 4 hours at a time in her kennel while her foster parents are at work during the day. She sleeps through the night in her kennel with no accidents.
Xena has grown to love her lab foster brothers, always greeting them with kisses/face washes (Probably the mama bear in her after having litter(s) of puppies). After being given proper time to adjust to her new environment and get to know her foster brothers, she plays with them all day. She has very appropriate play skills with her foster brother and engages in a little WWE smackdown throughout the day. She is interested in toys, but is still learning what the word “fetch” means. She loves to chase her foster brother in the yard and is taking notes on how to retrieve.
Cool grass is the best thing in the world to Xena and she will require a spacious backyard with a tall fence to allow for her zoomies and chasing bugs/butterflies.
Overall, Xena is a fairly confident dog given her past, but can be somewhat fearful of new things/new environments, but is learning every day that the world is pretty awesome (and that ceiling fans are not evil!). She rides nicely in the car. She is untested with cats (but has shown some prey drive), and kids. She is so loving and sweet that we feel she would do well in a home with older and/or dog savvy kids who are not too rambunctious.
