Sirius is a handsome, sweet boy currently located in the Dallas, Texas area.  

If we could only pick one word to describe Sirius, it is Happy-go-lucky. And like his namesake from the Harry Potter novels, Sirius is brave, loyal, adventurous but above all, a deeply affection for those he cares about.

Sirius, the Dog Star, is the brightest star in the night sky.  And like the star, you will find that this boy named Sirius will be the brightest light in your life.

He loves his ball, Benebones, and Kong wobbler.  Although he delights in play, his most favorite thing to do is to cuddle and be loved on.  He is great with everyone he meets.  He is great with other dogs.  He has high prey drive so he is best suited for a home without cats or small dogs.

He has a puppy-like energy but is not over-the top crazy.  He has some basic obedience and loves to work with his human to learn new things. Sirius is toy and food motivated but even more so, is praise motivated.  he wants nothing more than to please his human.  He is house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car.  He will even allow you to trim his toenails!

It is so hard to believe this boy was almost euthanized in the shelter but they were going to put him down because of his injured leg.  It appears it was broken a while back and his owner didn't take him in to be treated and it healed improperly.  He will need orthopedic surgery to address his broken.
